Crochet Sunflower Square Workshop: Texture & Joining

Spend a creative day exploring texture, colour and construction in this friendly crochet workshop, held in the bright upstairs studio at Patchwork Dreamer.

In this class, you’ll make two textured sunflower granny squares, using them to learn how to confidently join crochet pieces together. Along the way, you’ll be introduced to puff stitch and cluster stitch, and shown how to create raised, three-dimensional elements that really bring your crochet to life.

This workshop is ideal for crocheters who already have a basic foundation and would like to expand their skills in a calm, supportive setting. You don’t need to follow a strict colour palette — classic sunflower shades work beautifully, but you’re very welcome to go bold and playful with your own colour choices.

By the end of the day, you’ll have new techniques under your belt, two completed squares, and the confidence to carry on making and joining more at home.

Skill level: Confident beginner
You should be comfortable with double crochet and treble crochet stitches.

• 4mm crochet hook

• Double knit yarn in:

  • Bright yellow

All tools and yarn will be available to purchase in the shop if needed.
