Stevie Dress Making Workshop

Join me for a relaxed and practical dressmaking workshop with experienced tutor Helen Clemo, where you’ll learn to make your own Stevie Dress or Tunic by Tilly and the Buttons — a wonderfully simple, flattering design that’s perfect for everyday wear.

The Stevie pattern features an easy-to-wear A-line shape, grown-on sleeves, and optional cuffs, making it an ideal introduction to garment sewing while still offering plenty to learn for more confident makers.

With Helen’s guidance, you’ll be supported step-by-step through the process, building confidence as you go in a friendly, small-group setting.

What you’ll learn

  • How to read and use a commercial sewing pattern
  • How to choose and adjust your size for a better fit
  • Cutting out fabric accurately
  • Neatening edges and constructing seams
  • Attaching facings and optional cuffs
  • Tips to confidently finish your garment at home

By the end of the day, you’ll be well on your way to creating a handmade dress or tunic that fits you beautifully.
