Summer by the Shore Mini Quilt Kit

This kit includes the fabric and DMC embroidery thread you’ll need to create the front of the Summer by the Shore Mini Quilt.

Please remember, the PDF patterns are sold separately and are not included with this kit. The six patterns will be released weekly from 25th July 2026 at £2.50 each as part of the Summer 2026 Challenge. There will also be a separate listing available if you would prefer to purchase all the PDF patterns in one go.

Inside your kit, you’ll find:

White tone on tone background fabric for your embroidery
Fabric for the mini quilt borders
3 DMC embroidery threads for stitching the coastal designs

To complete your mini quilt, you will also need to supply:

Embroidery needles
An embroidery hoop, if you usually use one
A mechanical pencil or heat-erasable pen for marking
Wadding measuring 50cm x 70cm
Backing fabric measuring 50cm x 70cm
Binding fabric

The Summer by the Shore Mini Quilt features six coastal stitchery designs, including a seahorse, crab, scallop shell, starfish, conch shell and fish. The designs are worked in simple backstitch, making this a lovely relaxing project for summer slow sewing.

This kit is for stitching along with the Summer by the Shore Challenge, whether you’re joining in weekly or saving the patterns for a peaceful seaside-inspired project.
