Christmas Goldwork Embroidery Workshop

Christmas Goldwork Embroidery Workshop Beginners

Add a little sparkle to your Christmas stitching with a goldwork embroidery workshop at Patchwork Dreamer in Bodmin, Cornwall.

Join us on Saturday 14 November 2026, from 10am to 3pm, and discover how decorative metallic threads can bring a festive design to life. Complete beginners are welcome, so you don’t need any previous goldwork experience.

Choose your Christmas goldwork kit and enjoy learning the basic techniques as you stitch onto a pre-printed colour design. You’ll discover the different threads and how to handle them, building your skills as you add shimmering texture and detail.

Choose from a star, angel or tree.

During the workshop, you’ll learn:

• Couching: securing decorative threads onto your design.
• Cutwork: working with cut lengths of metallic wire threads.
• Chipping: adding small pieces of thread to create sparkling texture.
• How to work with wire and pearl threads.

Whether you’d love to try a new embroidery technique or simply fancy a creative day with a festive touch, this workshop is a lovely opportunity to make time for your stitching.

Your chosen Christmas goldwork kit and all materials are included. Please let me know which kit you would like when booking.
