Beginners Crochet Class
In this 4 hour beginners class you will learn the following:
*How to hold the hook and yarn to best suit you.
*Learn the basic stitches to get you started and to be able to make a granny square.
*You will begin a Granny square lap Blanket (or bigger) which you will then be able to work on at home after the class.
You will need to bring:
*Double Knitting wool in 3 ( 3x 100g Ball size) colours of your choice and complement each other. Or if you are a knitter and have leftovers of this size of yarn then bring that with you. Style craft is an easy to find brand and inexpensive to learn with.
*Sewing kit to include scissors, tape measure or small ruler, A large eyed blunt wool needle.
You will take Home:
Some worksheets to refer to at home.
A steel crochet hook.
An example of a Granny square made by me.
Samples that you have created in class using wool that I will bring in for you to initially practice with.
The beginnings of your own lap blanket using the Double-knit wool that you bring to the class.
