  1. Sue

I continued with this course straight after the Beginners Machine course. I was not disappointed. This course allowed me to take patchwork anywhere (even on the beach). Mary shows you all the required techniques, in a calm and serene setting. Now, what to make next?

    • Mary Norman

      Thank you Sue

  2. Jan Fleming

I enrolled in this class as the very first experience I had with hand sewing. Mary has ignited an interest in sewing that I did not have, she is a patient, thorough teacher ensuring that each technique is well understood before building on it with the next. I was new to Cornwall and have made a wonderful group of friends as a result of this course. I highly recommend this course, Mary as a teacher and her shop as a source of inspiration.

    • Mary Norman

Thank you Jan, what a lovely group you are.

  3. Gail Fincher

I did this course back in January 2019! I had made one quilt before by sewing squares, but I didn’t know how to back it or quilt it etc etc. This course taught me so many new skills and also led me to meet new people and make four amazing new friends!!! Mary has wonderful material and a wealth of knowledge. Do it! What’s stopping you?!!!

    • Mary Norman

      Thank you Gail

  4. Maureen Donaghue

I thoroughly enjoyed the beginners course I achieved a finished sampler which I am so proud of. I learnt several techniques and have since made a quilt and two cot covers. Mary is a wonderful teacher so patient and so talented, Why not join up you won’t be disappointed.

    • Mary Norman

      Thank You Maureen.

  5. Janice HODGKINSON

I arrived a complete novice, my claim to fame was that I was bottom of the class in needlework whilst at school! Undaunted, Mary soon put me at ease and we worked through the different techniques each week. I discovered the joy that comes with achieving a new skill. The bonus was my fellow attendees who made each session full of positivity, joy and humour. Thank you Mary for opening up a whole new world of crafting

    • Mary Norman

Thank you Janice, we certainly had a few giggles.

  6. Elaine Small

I had never done any patchwork quilting of any kind so was a complete novice. The list of requirements was very useful before attending and with Mays helpful, calm and patience, I learnt a completely new hobby. Each week Mary walks you through a new step, along with her excellent written instructions, she makes sure you understand each step throughly.. Some weeks the project may need to be finished off at home so you can move in to the next step the following week, but Mary is always willing to help if needed. So by the end of the workshops the sampler quilt is put together. I would highly recommend this workshop , especially to anyone who has never tried Patchwork and Quilting before.

    • Mary Norman

      Thank you Elaine
