Densa Dopp Kit Bag-Making Workshop

Join Jenny for a full day of bag making and create a stylish, practical Densa Dopp Kit using beautiful water-resistant cotton fabrics.

This structured box-style bag has a generously sized zipped opening, useful carrying handles and a neat, professional finish. It would make a lovely wash bag, sewing bag, project pouch or travel organiser.

During the workshop, you will concentrate on making the large Densa Dopp Kit. Depending on your sewing experience and how quickly you progress, you may also have time to begin or complete the smaller bag.

All the fabrics, hardware and materials required to make both sizes are included. Anything not completed during the class can be taken home and finished later.

Finished bag sizes

Small:
3½” tall × 6½” wide × 4″ deep
Approximately 9cm × 16.5cm × 10cm

Large:
5″ tall × 9½” wide × 6″ deep
Approximately 13cm × 24cm × 15cm

Your class includes

• ¼ metre of water-resistant cotton outer fabric
• ¼ metre of coordinating plain water-resistant cotton
• ½ metre of water-resistant cotton lining fabric
• 1 metre of zip
• Two zip pulls
• 1¼ metres of interfacing
• Decovil for the bases of both bags
• Densa Dopp Kit pattern
• One Schmetz 90/14 sewing-machine needle
• One reel of Gutermann thread
• Jenny’s tuition throughout the day
• All the fabrics and materials required to make both bag sizes

Please bring

• Your sewing machine in good working order
• Your sewing-machine manual
• A walking foot suitable for your machine
• A zipper foot
• A satin stitch foot
• Some pale grey thread for finishing the inside lining
• A pressing cloth or a piece of calico to protect the iron from the wax in the fabric and help prevent the fabric from becoming shiny
• A rotary cutter and cutting mat
• Long and short quilting rulers
• Your usual sewing kit, including scissors, sewing clips (Not Pins) and a seam ripper
• A packed lunch

Tea and coffee will be available.
