Lace Making Day – Learn the Art of Traditional Bobbin Lace

Join us for a relaxing and creative day of lace making at Patchwork Dreamer!

Whether you’re completely new to lace making or just curious to give it a try, this workshop is the perfect way to dip your toes into this beautiful and traditional craft. You’ll spend the day learning from two talented and experienced lace makers who will guide you every step of the way.

🧵 Morning Session – Introduction to Lace Making with Denise
Start the day gently with Denise as she takes you through the basics of bobbin lace. You’ll learn how to handle the bobbins, understand simple patterns, and begin making your very first stitches.

🧵 Afternoon Session – Bedfordshire Lace with Sue
In the afternoon, Sue will guide you through creating a simple piece of Bedfordshire lace – just right for edging a place mat. It’s a lovely way to practice your new skills and go home with something beautiful to show for your day.

✨ What’s Included:

• Patterns

• Lace bobbins

• Lace making thread

👜 What to Bring:

• Snips (small scissors)

• A thimble

• Notebook and pen (for notes and sketches)

This is a slow, mindful day full of traditional charm – a perfect way to unwind, try something new, and connect with fellow makers.
