  1. Sue

My first foray into patchwork of any kind. Mary is so patient, knowledgeable and the class is great fun. Inspired me to delve deep into the realms of all things patchwork

    • Mary Norman

Thank You Sue, and what lovely work you have created.

  2. Eileen Stevens

I had many bad habits from tailoring in childhood, it took Mary lots of patience to break these into something suitable for quilting. I had not realised how different the techniques were. We started with me learning to cut the material correctly, to press not iron, and to make sure I was able to sew accurately. I am, currently, hooked on making different squares – the thought of making one square repeatedly is not something I can work with at the moment. Mary’s explanations have taken me through the foundations of quilting that are enabling me to look at quilts and patterns and work out how to do them for myself.
Thank you, Mary, I am loving it.

Thank you Eileen, it has been lovely going on this patchwork journey with you.

  3. Nicky Cook

I was almost a novice when I started this course. Mary started by helping me with choosing materials. She patiently held my hand through the early weeks … even starting to give me confidence to use the rotary cutter. After about the third week at the cabin we went into lockdown! Not deterred we continued with weekly online sessions. Mary was so helpful and patient. Her comprehensive weekly written and posted instructions, together with personal online guidance was fabulous.

    • Mary Norman

Thank you Nicky, we certainly had fun with camera angles and show me requests.

  4. Helen

This was my very first course and it got me hooked. Mary was brilliant and extremely patient, even when I brought in my black and gold Singer machine! I thoroughly recommend it.

Thank you Helen, that machine is amazing
