Easy-Fit Shorts & Trouser Workshop

Join Helen at Patchwork Dreamer for a friendly one-day Easy-Fit Shorts and Trouser Workshop, suitable for all levels of sewer from beginner upwards.

In this class, you will bring your own easy-fit trouser or shorts pattern (images show suggested patterns) and learn the steps needed to make a wearable garment that fits you comfortably. The images shown are suggested pattern types only, but please choose and bring your own similar easy-fit shorts or trouser pattern with you on the day.

During the workshop you will learn:

• How to fold your fabric correctly
• How to alter your pattern to fit you
• How to cut out your pattern pieces
• The sewing processes needed to complete your shorts or trousers

This is a lovely workshop if you are ready to start dressmaking, build your confidence with garment construction, or learn how to adjust a simple pattern so it works better for your shape.

What you need to bring

Please bring:

• Your chosen easy-fit shorts or trouser pattern
• Fabric as recommended on the back of your pattern
• Any notions listed on the reverse of your pattern
• Your own sewing machine
• Your sewing machine manual
