Cross Body Rope Bag and Purse Workshop with Andrea from Indigo Blue Designs

Date and Time  Friday 25/4/24 10am till 4pm

A full day workshop to make this slim cross the body bag and small purse using soft
cotton rope.
Choose from colours available for the class. Your colour choice needs to be made at
the time of booking giving a 1st and 2nd choice due to limited stock. Denim, Natural,
Jazz , Heather (purple).
The following are also supplied :
Zip, selection of wooden beads, magnetic snap fastening (optional).

Participants will need to bring the following:
*Sewing machine in good working order and are confident in using it independently.
*Zipper foot for your machine, but the purse zip could be hand stitched in if preferred.
*Spare sewing machine needles. Regular size.
*Threads to co-ordinate with your selected rope colour. We will be using Zig zag
stitch so bring a large reel or several smaller ones. Medium quality such as Coats
Moon is suitable.
*Additional contrasting threads if you wish to use stitch to embellish your bag. See
example photo.
*Any scraps of fabric, buttons or other possible embellishments for the front of the
purse or bag pocket to personalise which can be hand stitched on. (Optional)
*Several sewing machine Bobbins.
*A piece of cotton fabric of your choice no smaller than A4 to make an inside pocket.

*A basic sewing kit to include, fabric scissors, hand sewing needles, tape measure,
quick unpick (just in case), small scissors, pins/clips etc.
*Paper and pencil to make notes.
*Glasses, if you wear them.
